I've been on a bit of a heart kick recently, meaning I've become addicted to making hearts!
I started with a pattern I found showing how to make knitted i-cord hearts and here are mine.....
Then I found a pattern for small crochet hearts to be used as table confetti
(or whatever takes your fancy)
I really like these but as I was doing more of them I thought what I really
want are proper pointy ends to my hearts and not rounded ones like these.....
.....so I spent a few hours one afternoon messing around with stitches and eventually I came up with these, which I'm very pleased with especially as I've made the pattern up (a first!). They are much more pointy and I then became hooked (forgive the pun) and couldn't stop making them. I'm certainly going to have lots of love to spread around come Valentine's Day! Here's my pointy hearts.....
these below are larger ones, I've just gone around the edge with another row (size differences are due to thickness of wools used) I also made the tissue and crepe flowers, from another tutorial I came across.
The wooden 'key to my heart' ones below are destined for Etsy, I've not decided to sell them as a pair or individually, probably individually
I have a few of these banners which will probably go on ebay. The one
hanging is my own but all the others are unused and ready to sell.
If anybody is interested in buying any of the above you can contact me via the email address top right.

When you're a crafter there's always another lovely occasion to craft for isn't there Suzy? I love your little pointy hearts, I agree hearts do need a point! Last year I made 3D crochet hearts and made them into badges for my friends. I love the banner too, did you make it?
ReplyDeleteHappy crafting
